File a claim against the city in civil court. Sounds pretty simple, esp if the Coop has records of the purchases of the iron tree guards and the tree. Might not even have to hire counsel. File it electronically, too. — J Frank P on Nosy Neighbor: What happened to our trees?
I had to stop years of yoga because of wrist arthritis and my doctor suggested doing more cardio. That’s when I discovered Zumba and Carlos’ expert teaching. He cues next steps with his hands (took me a few classes to figure out, until he said “watch my hands, not my feet!”). The outdoor classes are joyous; beautiful view of the river, trees and occasional passers-by that stop, watch and groove to the music. Check it out (but try a few classes to get the hang of it if you’re a novice like me.) — NC on Nosy Neighbor: Can you take classes at Asphalt Green if you are not a member?
Sounds like you should go work as an under paid bank teller. Thank you, — JVD on In the News: A stickup at TD Bank

I'd always been curious about Zumba - it looked like a great way to get a cardio workout while having fun dancing. Last year I took my first class with Carlos at Asphalt Green and I've since added the Rockefeller Park classes into my schedule. The classes are so much fun, a wonderful way to start the day and I've met the most welcoming and interesting group of people. I'm addicted! — Pat D. on Nosy Neighbor: Can you take classes at Asphalt Green if you are not a member?
Yes they just opened in Fidi. Bagels and options are solid. It's crazy busy on weekends but manageable during the week outside lunch rush. — Michael T on Apollo Bagels has leased the Kings space

If I had a dollar for every time this snarky-ass response appears in the comments here, I could buy us all lunch at Odeon. — Alex in NYC on Apollo Bagels has leased the Kings space

Interesting because I think they also just opened a new shop over in FiDi. Good for them! I'm excited to try it. — BPCdad on Apollo Bagels has leased the Kings space
All good things will, and must, leave Tribeca. — R. on Let There Be Neon will leave White Street after four decades
i went in their a few months ago to get a gift certificate for someone and the manager said they were going to do renovations and expand to next door.....so make sure if your friend wants to use it at tribeca location, do it before whatever date which i forgot but said UES is open... I am sure they are not going out of business... — adam on Nosy Neighbor: Is AIRE Ancient Baths closing?

How the hell does an unarmed suspect rob a TD Bank? It doesn't make any sense. If I'm working as a bank teller and you want to rob me I'll say you're going to need to show me a loaded gun or you get nothing. — LTJ on In the News: A stickup at TD Bank

LTBN made a piece of neon art for me in the early '80s when they were in Soho. Still have it, still looks great. Lovely people...I hope they don't move far away. — Makes You Go Hmmmm.... on Let There Be Neon will leave White Street after four decades
I miss Kings so much. It was more expensive than Target as expected due to economies of scale, but I was always happy to pay a few dollars extra to avoid having to hunt down and beg a Target employee to unlock some laundry detergent from its cage. I've heard of the Apollo hype so I'll be sure to give that a try once the initial lines die down. . — JB on Apollo Bagels has leased the Kings space

It sure does! I never got PF Chang's to confirm, and that building looks great! I can follow up with both... — Tribeca Citizen on Apollo Bagels has leased the Kings space
@tribecacitizen Is the PF Chang’s still coming to Chambers? Looks like nothing is going on in that retail space. It also looks like the seafood place that was going to take over the Ecco space is not happening. Chambers Street needs some love . . . — Reademan on Apollo Bagels has leased the Kings space
Another TriBeCa staple lost...I fear the future generations will have little clue of what the neighborhood has meant if we continue to lose places/landmarks like this...hopefully I'm wrong...but I'm usually right about these kinds of things. — Jack McT on Let There Be Neon will leave White Street after four decades
I was always fascinated by this place. Sad to see it go. I love neon. The Roxy's neon is a thing of beauty. Also very sad that one factor in the decision to relocate is the placard abuse which eliminates their truck parking. As for the planters, though, I don't see how those prevent trucks from picking up and delivering. I imagine they are designed to prevent vehicles from driving up onto the sidewalk to park, which is dangerous to pedestrians, but also dangerous as so many of the sidewalks in Tribeca are hollow vaults which may not be able to withstand the weight. There have been cases of sidewalk collapse in Tribeca and Soho when trucks drove up onto them. Anyway, the move of Let There Be Neon away from Tribeca is a real shame and I see it is a sad loss to the neighborhood. — Marcus on Let There Be Neon will leave White Street after four decades
