Construction Porn at 30 Park Place

Did you see last weekend’s crane installation at 30 Park Place (a.k.a. the Four Seasons Downtown Etc. Etc.)? It was something else—and that building is going up fast. Best of all these photos came in from an observer who would like to remain anonymous. You can hate the noise that comes with construction, and you can have grave concerns about the overbuilding of downtown, but you have to admire the guts of the folks who actually make these buildings happen.

    WOW! What amazing photographs! The last one reminds me (a little) of that famous b&w photograph of construction workers eating lunch on a beam.

    If I lived within sight of that site, I would hardly be able to put my binoculars down. During the installation of the windows on 1WTC I was glued to them.
