••• Dig Inn was kind enough to invite me to the press preview for Hudson Eats at Brookfield Place, in case you were concerned that my feelings were still hurt. Also, I hear tha Hudson Eats’s opening is now scheduled for June 3.

••• La Garçonne, the cutting-edge fashion boutique coming to Greenwich between Watts and Desbrosses, appears ready to open any minute now. Was the door like that before? Looks nice.

••• Bâtard is taking reservations online; you have to submit a credit card number, and there’s a $50 penalty for no-shows (you have up to 24 hours before the reservation to cancel). Prime times seems to be withheld from OpenTable, so I guess you have to call, if you can find a phone number. Or maybe it’s the same as Corton’s was? (Appears so… An outgoing message at 212-219-2777 says it’s the “future home of Bâtard” but to call Myriad Restaurant Group if you have any questions.)

••• It’s been a while since Tribeca Retail Club was in the area, but it’s evidently popping back up. A storefront on Broadway (392?) has signage up.

••• Press release: “The Brazilian Film Festival returns to New York for its twelfth year with a special tribute to Bossa Nova composer Vinicius de Moraes, co-writer of the worldwide hit song ‘Garota de Ipanema’ (The Girl from Ipanema), in honor of the centenary of his birth.” It starts June 1 at Tribeca Cinemas.

••• Friends of Washington Market Park is partnering with Super Duper Tennis for free tennis kids’ clinics. I loved playing tennis when I was young…. Still dream about it….

••• Haus, the nightclub opening at W. Broadway and Canal, is going to light up that façade, and how. I’m going to need to come up with an outfit when I go for my appletini.

••• “Boardwalk Empire” is filming in the Broadway/Duane vicinity on Thursday and Friday.

••• I went aboCa* to see Chinese Puzzle, the third film in Cédric Klapisch’s charming trilogy about young adults growing up. You should probably start with the first one, L’Auberge Espangole. Anyway, I mention this because several scenes are shot in the area—more than several if you include Chinatown. (* “above Canal,” if you’re new here.)
