••• “Community activist and longtime Rector Place resident Helene Seeman was killed and her husband, Fred, seriously injured Sunday evening when a woman who was subsequently charged with drunk driving smashed into their car as they pulled into the driveway of their New Jersey summer home. […] Former ‘Melrose Place’ actress Amy Locane-Bovenizer [right], who was behind the wheel of the Chevy Tahoe that slammed into the Seemans’ Mercury Milan as it pulled into the driveway of the family’s home at 835 Cherry Hill Road in the town of Montgomery, was arrested at the scene by police officers who smelled alcohol on her breath, and said later that her speech was slurred and her eyes bloodshot. Police also said that she acknowledged having several glasses of wine shortly before getting behind the wheel.
