••• Añejo, the Mexican restaurant (with an original location in Hell’s Kitchen) coming to the old Bread Tribeca space, opens to the public on Saturday.
••• It’s unclear whether the FreshDirect trucks permanently parked on W. Broadway are harming the trees (something is), but I do think the company could discourage its drivers from chaining their hand trucks to the trunks. Show some respect, eh?
••• I posted a photo the other day of how Franklin Place was getting funky up near its top, and then a day or two later I was walking along White when I discovered a view that showed much more—including that the building is getting its windows.
••• Puerto Ricans in Paris was filming in northeast Tribeca on Saturday. There’s no plot summary on IMDB, but I think you can make a general guess at the plot.
••• The newly renovated storefront at 293 Church looks great!
••• There was serious demolition happening inside the storefront at 257 Church (southeast corner of Franklin, and long dormant). Could something finally be happening?
••• “What is this?” emailed Andrea. I’d guess art. Anyone know anything? Update: See comments!
••• I wandered over to the Summer Streets stuff happening at Foley Square on Saturday because I was hoping to do the zipline, but it turns out you had to reserve and it was all booked. It looks fun, but maybe not quite as dramatic as I had hoped.

The sign is a NYC public art project by the artist Ryan McGinness. They were put up sometime around 1 month ago, and people have subsequently stolen many (most?) of them.
