••• Opening Oct. 27 at Front Art Space on Chambers: One Hundred Famous Views of Ego, paintings by artist (and Tribeca pioneer) Joseph Bilger. “Inspired by the wood block series One Hundred Famous Views of Edo by Japanese artist Hiroshige (1797-1858), Mr. Bilger’s new series of paintings use the new World Trade Center tower as a subject, depicted from various viewpoints in New York City. Living in downtown Manhattan for 30 years, he became interested in the way the tower looked during its construction, both the way it evolved itself and the way it changed the environment around it. […] Mr. Bilger expects to continue working on this series for the next few years.”

••• Bronsky Orthodontics wants to buy back your Halloween candy: “Between Nov. 3 and Nov. 7, Dr. Bronsky will give $1 for each pound of candy (up to 5 lbs), which is then sent overseas via Operation Gratitude to our US Armed service men and women.”
