Does anyone know who is authorized to park on the "No Standing" west side of River Terrace in NBPC? I have assumed it is 9/11 memorial employees because when it opened I noticed parked cars on that side of the street. Seriously, why doesn't TJ open up a location on the Upper East Side???!!! They're everywhere except up here and they keep opening more and more locations in NYC. Yesterday I counted at least 9 construction/ renovation projects going on simultaneously on one block of leonard street. Starting on church all the way to broadway. Plus the worth street construction work and detours. It is simply unlivable. And noisy. And dirty. The constant trucks. It seems I am the only one that even notices,cares or minds. Are we all so desensitized to this now? And No I am not moving. And by the way the construction going on in the storefront of 74 Leonard is one of the worst. They have been cleaning out that space now for over a year and now building it out. The daily hourly garbage demolition trucks in front have made our life hell. And a Porto potty. Plus they leave the dumpsters in front of my building. We get $300 tickets from sanitation. This is where people live and nobody seems to even acknowledge that people Are here trying to go about their business as well. It's been at least 10 years of this. My son also had to go to the Pediatric ER and was seen quickly, xray and diagnosed within an hour. He received surgery by one of the top pediatric orthopedic surgeons in the city at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital which is a beautiful facility. I also go to 170 William for my annual tests and have been treated great and seen in a very timely manner. I moved all of my doctors to the Weill Practice at 40 Worth. I respectfully disagree with these comments. The fault here lies with the BPCA. This spokesman's response seems right in line with all the other arrogant things you read coming from the BPCA. Both parking uses are unsightly and offensive to the constituents of BPCA, who the BPCA could clearly not care less about, but they "have authorized" the one use, so it is okay. BPCA should have told the contractors to jump in the Hudson (metaphorically speaking) rather than kowtow to them and furnish them with free parking at the parkgoers' detriment.
