Lynn, you are completely out of control. That corner is a dump and an eyesore. Would be great to demolish the existing building and put an upscale boutique hotel that brings commerce and jobs to the neighborhood. It is difficult enough to get anything done in this city, creating further roadblocks will just drive investment elsewhere. Please go mind your own business! — Reademan on Goodbye to a Slice of Old Tribeca?
1WTC's spire has been aglow for SuperBowl week. All last week the color alternated between Seahawks green and Broncos orange. During the game, it was red, white and blue and as soon as Seattle won, it switched to green. I'm interested to see how long it will be lit, and what's next. — Andrea on Seen & Heard: A New Indian Restaurant?
This site is part of our July 2013 request to LPC to put the area in the historic district. Wake up Tribecans! You should be begging LPC to expand Tribeca South Historic District to include the site. — Lynn Ellsworth on Goodbye to a Slice of Old Tribeca?

Only change around there has been the slow removal of the scaffolding around 66 Leonard. Other than that, it's been the same since even before those docking stations were first put in place. — lowphat on Nosy Neighbor: Where Did That Citi Bike Station Go?

I still say the tower is dead in the water. 3 reasons. 1)Gale Brewer is being tested here, big time. Let HHC build, and nobody, even those with million dollar river views, are safe from new developers plunking something down on another newly "saved" pier, walling the city. 2)This tower is right smack dab in front of the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. What pol wants to go down as the one who gave that away?3) Hurricane Sandy. Of course, HHC could throw in "affordable housing" and all bets are off. — Jean Grillo on Those Seaport Plans Are Not on Hold After All
If you've never had e. coli than you'll never know, Demetri, you'll never know. The uncanny and eerily similar experience between having children and having e. coli is not for the faint of heart or imagination or dependable childcare. And I am confident Erik is unfazed by my comment and is going about his life as if nothing is slowly eating away at his skin. — Jim Smithers on Washington Market Park Is Insanely Beautiful Right Now
Poor Jim. Your curmudgeon comments are on occassion entertaining, but what in the world did the kids ever do to you to deserve your comments? And what did Erik do to you, for you to ruin his jesture to share a little beauty? — Demetri on Washington Market Park Is Insanely Beautiful Right Now

Yes, Douglas, FedEx and other delivery services seem to completely ignore the existence of bike lanes and this does render passage down West Broadway more hazardous for cyclists. I have suffered from this and would be glad to join you in drawing the attention of FedEx et al to this. — Bob on Seen & Heard: FedEx Blocking Bike Lanes
