The AI version sounds like an advertisement for One York mixed with a Gawker article, which it probably is. Don't think you are in any danger . . . — Amy G. on Am I out of a job?
The “trifecta of Tribeca” phrase was sort of clever, you gotta admit. Next time don’t tell us in advance. Make us guess. — Peter on Am I out of a job?

The comparison is funny in a creepy way, but to my ear the Gemini one sounds more like Erik in a snarky mood than you. — N on Am I out of a job?
Jim, Actually the people I know who favor sheds are mostly from Florida and Ohio… LOL. Like my suburban transplant cousins who like sheds, food delivery, Target and Uber…. — MSA on Dining sheds at Tamarind have been removed
I was there and I also have on video. After they sprayed him w/ the fire extinguisher he was still on fire from the waste down. It appears that they let another 20 sec. go by before they hit him again w/ the extinguisher. Not sure why they did not put out the fire in total to begin w/ since they had a large full fire extinguisher. — Steven on In the News: Man dies after an act of self-immolation at Collect Pond Park
Amazing! Based on these comments the people of Tribeca are like a retirement home in Florida. Stop being old senile sticks in the mud and keep your stupid complaints to yourself. — Jim on Dining sheds at Tamarind have been removed
This is a beautiful tribute to a kind, funny, and nice human! Peter was always smiling at college and reunions. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. Dearest Michela, This is a lovely and heartfelt tribute to your wonderful husband, Peter. You, Mirta and Mattia are in my thoughts and prayers. Please call on me for support, I am one block away. I recently spoke with someone knowledgeable about farming upstate (in short, not hearsay). Farmers were offered good incentives by the program to grow the material, but due to mismanagement (mainly ambiguities in the policing structure) growers have spent years on it only to be left with truly massive inventory they cannot legally sell. What ensues takes place in a black box, but in short, there's huge, unprecedented demand (as shown by the number of illegal venues) for something that there's an enormous supply of at rock-bottom prices. Expect to see the musical chair application shenanigans continue until NYS can slap some cold water on its face and get it together by simplifying and codifying the latter stages of the application process. — mulciber on Much ado about nothing for cannabis on Duane
The lights seem to have been replaced with VERY dim LED's that throw off no real light, and worse, they dont even have these bulbs in all of the lamps! Bulbs and power are so cheap- so it's crazy that they cant be brighter and in every lamp. It would make a world of dfference and make the park safer to be properly lit! — RP on City Hall Park launches into a new era
an excellent Italian restaurant option nearby is Il Posto Accanto. East 2nd between A&B. tiny place with great, authentic Italian dishes. — S on Field Trip: Donna Dennis on the Lower East Side
For pedestrians attempting to turn the corner at 1 White St. it is a slow process of enervating navigation as others try to figure out how to edge by all the tables and baby carriages and waiters with trays scattered on both sides of the pavement. Enough! — George Bacon on Dining sheds at Tamarind have been removed
And Anejo on Church. Their shed on Walker hasn't been used for at least a year, it's a storage space and very unattractive. It's uncivil to leave a shed on a busy street for no good reason other than free real estate grabbing. They have tables on the sidewalk and another shed on Church. Last time I passed Belle Reve the addition was intact. Will check again. Yes it's spirit lifting when 401 Broadway scaffolding was finally removed. But the anticipation of more coming up on the other end of Walker once the construction starts is depressing. — R. on Dining sheds at Tamarind have been removed
Yes, that's correct. See this post. And I don't think everyone dislikes ALL the sheds. Some function well and fit into the landscape. A lot of them take over the sidewalk with too-solid structures that impede walking and ruin sightlines. — Tribeca Citizen on Dining sheds at Tamarind have been removed
Way to go Tamarind. Now Walker's - Take down those sheds on Both Sides of the street. People have to walk on the subway grids where i have seen people struggle - worry someone might fall and get hurt. Maybe those of us that are against this can tell the restaurant's directly. With enough of an outcry, maybe they get the hint. — John on Dining sheds at Tamarind have been removed
Are there any plans to turn on the gas lights that surround the fountain? It was beautiful to see at night. — Ken on City Hall Park launches into a new era
The people behind Tribeca Grill should think about taking their sheds down as well, I believe they are closed most of the time. — Stella on Dining sheds at Tamarind have been removed
Apparently unpopular opinion: while the new rules are the rules, and the sheds will go, I’m not happy to see it happen. Some of them were a mess, it’s true, but overall I think they’ve added positively to street life. I’m particularly bummed to see the ones in the road taken down, though it’s mostly not the subject of this post: how many extra tables are we ultimately giving up for more parking spaces? I know some will persist, but if I understand correctly, more or less only fair weather structures will be allowed, and only for part of the year… — mg on Dining sheds at Tamarind have been removed
At least the sheds at Tamarind were well constructed and maintained. They weren't rat magnets and disgusting (like Zona) I have a feeling the one remaining shed is there for to go orders- I've noticed now that they do offer delivery through the various apps (something they only started post covid) --they leave to go orders in one of their sheds so the delivery guys aren't coming and going out the front of the restaurant. Tamarind has always been a highlight in the neighborhood for me. — JulieW on Dining sheds at Tamarind have been removed
start with not allowing government vehicles parked on the bluestone sidewalk and not on roadway. Then have regular volunteer monthly cleanup events. Finally, how about getting a bunch of black paint and paintbrushes and painting the whole fence around city hall park? — S on City Hall Park launches into a new era
I tried to like this bakery many times over the years. However, I find the staff extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. I tried ordering a birthday cake last year. I basically got yelled at for not knowing their options/offerings in advance. The lady behind the counter huffed and puffed, rolled her eyes, etc. I was speechless. I will gladly take my business elsewhere in the neighborhood even if it's Whole Foods. — MME on Duane Park Patisserie will add new hours with a new menu
