Took an out of town friend to the Best Made pop up on Wednesday - he bought a beautifully crafted axe "to go." I hope no one was alarmed when they saw him walking the streets of Tribeca with it. Said friend and axe have since departed. — Kellee on Pop-Up: Best Made Company

@Paul: The word is that Hearst had planned to make them public, but it's unclear whether that's still the case. If I hear anything, I'll be sure to pass it along.... — Erik Torkells on Loft Peeping: 250 West Showhouse #2
@paul: Fair question. I stopped thinking of it as an actual event (vs. an online peeping opportunity) when the party was canceled. I'd assume not, because I think the event was canceled in part because 250 West is right on the river. But I'll email the PR rep just in case.... — Erik Torkells on Loft Peeping: 250 West Showhouse #2

How cool that we have an axe manufacturer in Tribeca! Eric, I followed your blog from Turks and Caicos, but love it even more now that I live down here. We are so checking out this pop up! — Lynda Lippin on Pop-Up: Best Made Company
I had no idea that there is a genre of pop-up stores. It's a sign of the times with empty real estate. In Battery Park we just have shut down storefronts and the owners are not smart enough t lease them to a pop-up Steven Greer BatteryPark.TV — Steven Greer on Pop-Up: Best Made Company
We should do this in Battery Park. It would be mostly Century 21 goods, with Zappos shoes and toddler clothing. Then, there is Gateway Plaza chic. — Steven Greer on Citizen Style | November

Zona was such a lovely shop on Broome Street. They have been missed. What a nice surprise I wonder if they'll sell those great BELLS!!!! I must have given a dozen of those bells as wedding gifts in the 80's!!! Can't wait to make a visit — Lisa on Pop-Up: ZONA
Mike is definitely a fixture on the block and was taken care of by a lot of people. He helped the Souvlaki vendor and the Juice vendor set up and break down in the morning and evening. The guys who work at 105 Duane always look out for him and made sure he was okay. The bus supervisor on the corner of Duane is a good friend too. Mike is a very kind and respectful man who we hope is getting the help he needs. Last I heard he was being treated at Bellevue and there are a few people keeping tabs on him. — Kerry Farrell on Seen & Heard: Asphalt Green Delayed
