Too Bad, Looks like the House wins on this one! — SONIA STOCK on Where in Tribeca?
Bacon Egg and Cheese on an Everything — JK on Seen & Heard: Zucker’s kiosk seeking suggestions
My suggestion for Zucker's is to offer more vegetarian and vegan options (like many shops are doing)....for example Just Egg (as a replacement for traditional eggs) and plant-based sausage and bacon (there are many delicious options). And fwiw, the counter staff are VERY unfriendly, not sure what that's about — Dan K on Seen & Heard: Zucker’s kiosk seeking suggestions
If they haven't, Zucker's ought to contact Stuyvesant HS and offer students some sort of snack deal upon presenting a student ID. Teenagers like to *eat,* and the subway entrances around Boagrdus is where loads of Sty students begin & end their day (they have out lunch too). — J Frank P on Seen & Heard: Zucker’s kiosk seeking suggestions

Agree! They need more bagel sandwich options. — K on Seen & Heard: Zucker’s kiosk seeking suggestions
Would love for the kiosk to offer whole wheat bagels! (Both plain and everything). Have to go to Chambers for those too, but would prefer the kiosk for a quick, simple order pickup. The kiosk is great and hopefully more neighbors will catch on to its convenience! — Emily D. on Seen & Heard: Zucker’s kiosk seeking suggestions
More vegetarian options! And later hours. — Reader on Reade on Seen & Heard: Zucker’s kiosk seeking suggestions
In early 2000’s or there was a Sophie’s on Chambers Street — Maureen on Old Kid Back on a New Block: Sophie’s Cuban
I had tried to order a bacon egg cheese on an everything bagel at the Zuckers kiosk and they told me I could only get that from their Chambers spot. It would be nice if they could offer more menu items at this spot. — FiDiGuy on Seen & Heard: Zucker’s kiosk seeking suggestions
Nice to see this spot filled with new business. This stretch of Broadway in particular is pretty rough, so any new business is welcome! — FiDiGuy on Old Kid Back on a New Block: Sophie’s Cuban
Sounds like C21 has lost its way. We should be aiming for more environmentally sound products and practices: clothing that is well-made, long-lasting, and relatively timeless, so one needs less of them, and to replace them less often. Fast fashion and plastic water bottles represent the exact opposite. — Marcus on Century 21 reopens with four smaller floors
Drew has a very warm heart , open mind with his own thoughts. His ability is easy to touch you…..which you should find out in his menus. Simple, creative with taste. The longer time you know him and you will find the truly of love. all about friends, food, joys and finally to family. — Alan cheung siulam on Drew Nieporent serves his last meal at 239 West Broadway
Having read the reviews of other Tribeca Citizen readers, I braced myself disappointment. The reincarnation of C21 truly could be mistaken for Marshall's except really sparse merchandise. (Marshall's is stocked with all manner of beauty products, some weird, some great, at terrific discounts. Nothing like that at the C21 reboot. A few makeup items at not particularly impressive prices.) Not much on offer and the prices are nothing special. The ultimate indignity for this once brilliant store were the small bottles of water with the Century 21 label on offer for $1.99. Why? Why would anyone in search of bargains buy a warm bottle of water for $1.99? I'm hoping that they will start getting some more merchandise, and that some off the overpriced merchandise goes on sale. But really -- no queus at the cashiers. Nobody was buying. — Jane on Century 21 reopens with four smaller floors
I agree with Zach’s former neighbors. As another of his former neighbors, I have to say that it’s really sad that he’s using the talking point of “blaming the wealthy” to explain the reduced availability of the court. It doesn’t even make sense that having more affluent residents would lead to pros monopolizing the tennis court, does it? I don’t get the connection. And I also agree with Makes you Go Hmmmm that Zach’s statements would get a Pinocchio if they were fact-checked. — SW on Tennis court times for sale on Craigslist
Wait till that one gets before the Supreme Court -- — George Bacon on Seen & Heard: 10 years of sunshine
ZD: During the off-season, when the court is FCFS, whoever is “next in line” gets to use the court before a person (including a pro) who just got off the court or who otherwise got “in line” after them. I can’t imagine that someone who has been sitting and waiting would tolerate someone in effect “cutting in line” to get on the court before they do. The courts along the Hudson River, which are part of the Hudson River Park, have used the FCFS system for years all season long and it seems to work there, so why not try it here? I agree that monitoring by the Parks Dept could improve the situation, but I think that the City is probably unwilling to spend money adding an employee to monitor a facility with a single court. — SW on Tennis court times for sale on Craigslist
Gwen: Yes. Aloft Travel. And "aloft," in the 1980s, and in this case, had a double meaning. A wonderful guy owned it. He also had the theater across the street. A hard-working hippie-era downtowner. He made his fortune by selling that theater to someone who built a mansion on top, on the southwest corner of N. Moore and W. Broadway. Alas, shortly thereafter, he was hiking with his son, fell off a mountaintop, and died. — Bruce Ehrmann on In the News: Art advisor is sued, closes Tribeca showroom

I miss him so much. I constantly think of him and all he had to offer. I don't want to be disrespectful and pry too much on such a private matter but I still am very confused about what actually happened to him and from what I can tell many people are in the same boat. There was suspicion of a shooting but that was ruled out. He had so much artistic talent. He's one of those people that can just do anything he wants to on a higher level than most. — Bird on A neighborhood fixture dies on the street

I was sad when Westway was defeated. Now I'm thrilled we have the highway on the surface to save the park, otherwise these types of monstrosities would be on the river, denying us all access. — G on In the News: Easing the way for residential conversions
