It has become a nice wind down for afterwork for me. Their burgers/sliders are to die for. Very reasonable prices. Not overcrowded and you can actually have a conversation without yelling. Happy to have another bar/tavern. I have become a loyal patron. — Sandra on New Kid on the Block: Bar 135
Happy to have Dan Goldman as our congressman! — K on Seen & Heard: PepĂ© rides again
I love this place! Tribeca needs more of these, and Jude and the rest of the staff are always warm and great. Great place to watch any sporting event — Tribeca Resident on New Kid on the Block: Bar 135
This place is GREAT! Jude and his team are so warm and welcoming, the food is delicious and the vibe is terrific. Perfect, easy place to watch a game over a drink or just come to relax. Such a great addition to Tribeca!! — Joanne Ramos on New Kid on the Block: Bar 135
I remember Morgan's Grille in the 1970's, but across the street where Marc Forgione later ended up. The Morgan brothers ran Morgan's deli, with Kevin being the butcher ... best meat around in those days. — Jeff on New Kid on the Block: Bar 135
We went today for brunch and really like it. The burger is one of the better ones in the neighborhood. Glad to have a new, less expensive option in the neighborhood. — Donna on New Kid on the Block: Bar 135
Yes they are, the return counter is directly straight ahead when you take the escalator down to lower level. — Andy F on Fidi residents line up for Whole Foods

We love 135 Reade Pub!! Jude is a friend and neighbor!! The food is delicious!!! — Tribeca N on New Kid on the Block: Bar 135
P.S. I guess my (vain?) hope was that a Whole Foods in that location would drive away the counterfeiters etc. I seem to recall the area was kept clearer, cleaner, and in generally better shape when the drug store was there (Duane Reade?). — Marcus on Whole Foods One Wall Street has opened in Fidi
Is the "Tribeca" Whole Foods technically in Tribeca or in FiDi? Depends where the lines are drawn for the neighborhoods, but I've taken it that Tribeca ends at Chambers. (Of course, the original Tribeca was even smaller!) Anyway, without entering those fraught debates about neighborhood boundaries I meant north part of Tribeca. Around Canal St would be ideal as it could serve Soho as well. We have Gourmet Garage, though, so there's that. And the Trader Joe's in Soho. — Marcus on Whole Foods One Wall Street has opened in Fidi
That's good if they took a 10-year lease then....at least the building is being used instead of vacant. — Marcus on Whole Foods One Wall Street has opened in Fidi
Jude is a great guy and part of the fabric of Tribeca for sure. As stated in the article, the food is everything you'd hope for on a tavern menu and perfectly executed great versions of each dish. Nothing fussy, just good food. Bartenders and staff are great as well. I wish Jude all the success in the world. The place is still building a following and growing. I'm already sad for the coming months when I'll be unable to rock up and easily grab a couple seats at the bar. — Harrison on New Kid on the Block: Bar 135
Hmmm, last I checked there was a Tribeca location... I'm also not sure a WF would find much success or business on the corner of (barely) Tribeca best known for fake handbag merchants, and notably seedy street characters. — Bill Williams on Whole Foods One Wall Street has opened in Fidi
All we need downtown is a Trader Joes! — Tribeca N on Whole Foods One Wall Street has opened in Fidi
The managing partner, Billy, passed away last year. COVID hit the Church spot hard without much office business. Grand St. and Nancy Whiskey have been carrying the load for quite some time. — MB on Saluggi’s has closed permanently

With the closing of Century 21, I would think more people are turning to BBB for household items, sheets etc, I know I now spend more time there buying cooking utensils, table linens, glass wear, --items you need to see and hold. Too often certain stuff from Amazon just isn't as good quality as the photos. — Tribeca Grandmom on Bed Bath & Beyond on the brink

hmm. I'll see what I can learn. Ghostbusters Day is June 8, so that's not the reason... — Tribeca Citizen on Nosy Neighbor: Why is Liberty Park closed?
Question for a future Nosy Neighbor -- is there a reason the FDNY Ladder 8 ("Ghostbusters" firehouse) has had swarms of visitors, much more than the usual tourist traffic? Is something pointing more people there recently? Thanks! — CW on Nosy Neighbor: Why is Liberty Park closed?
That property, 325 Church Street, is owned by the same entity that owns the corner property, 321 Church Street, and I think another adjacent property, 35 Lispenard. The corner property has demolition and new building permits filed for a 7-story 10k SF building (as reported by TC previously), but I don't see any activity on those permits since 2020 (https://algonyc.com/property.php?BBL=1002100001). Perhaps the owner is emptying out the Saluggi's property to enlarge the planned development beyond just the corner site? — person on Saluggi’s has closed permanently
The INTER_IAM exhibit at 415 Broadway took out a 10 year lease? I assumed it was a pop for a few months. — Randy on Whole Foods One Wall Street has opened in Fidi
I like BBB. I don't like getting stuff from Amazon for so many reasons. Was disappointed but not surprised to read this in the WSJ a few weeks back. Big drawback is that it has limited inventory, but I do buy there if they have what I'm looking for. It's always my first go-to and Amazon my last on the list. What it does have is convenience and if you're a member a 20% off every purchase benefit. I'm glad they haven't closed it just yet. Will be sad when/if they do. — Vale on Bed Bath & Beyond on the brink
