That’s the most racist thing you have EVER heard? I wish I was as fortunate as you have been all my life. — Nyc on Highgarden added to Greca?
The new decor in the old Blaue Gans/Le Zinc space is a travesty. — Anonymous on Seen & Heard: Fonda will open April 22
This is the most racist comment I've ever heard. What exactly do you mean by Riff Raff? — Native NY on Highgarden added to Greca?
Wow You get the grand prize for topic twisting and self-centeredness. What does your comment really bring to the subject except maybe smug self-satsfaction? It’s really sad that the office workers haven’t returned downtown or to nyc because all service industries are suffering. I’m upset when I walk down streets in Tribeca that used to be lines with bubbling business now all closed. I loved Mulberry and Vine and am very sad to see it close. Whether anyone with a piercing was rude or not is incidental IMO. — Vale on Mulberry & Vine has closed permanently
My sister and I ate their Friday night and it was excellent. Their mole was the best we've ever had. The interior is nice too, and they didn't have loud music which is a pet peeve of mine. Will definitely go back. — Donna on Casa Carmen is open on Franklin
Clear this guy has called out the sock puppets to defend his illegal activity. Again, this has nothing to do with goodwill or this individual. Point remains this isn’t allowed and they’re skipping the line/breaking the law. If you want to live somewhere where restaurants can sell drugs and smoke inside then you probably shouldn’t live in NYC.. — Concerned on Highgarden added to Greca?
I would worry more about tribeca moms consuming a bottle of wine a day lol. — Vegan on Highgarden added to Greca?
Love it! They're not hurting anyone. — Vegan on Highgarden added to Greca?
Had dinner there last evening. The food was fantastic, service very friendly and welcoming. A great time was had by all. — MAK on Casa Carmen is open on Franklin
A spectacular addition to the neighborhood. The food was first rate and the service friendly and relaxed. — Don on Casa Carmen is open on Franklin
A true loss to the neighborhood. The food was fresh and healthy and the people who worked there helpful and welcoming. Now, if someone would just tell me what they put into the charred avocado! — Kerri on Mulberry & Vine has closed permanently
The Greek WAS fantastic, Greca WAS really good and Tom IS terrific. Doesn't mean what this has turned into should be acceptable. using goodwill as an excuse is akin to moms saying my child is an angel as they get led away in handcuffs — S on Highgarden added to Greca?
What Tribeca really needs is a pickle ball court — TribecaPickleBall on Highgarden added to Greca?
We had dinner there, it was fantastic. The food was amazing, service friendly, big margaritas. What more could you ask for? — A2 on Casa Carmen is open on Franklin
I patronized their E. 44th st location frequently. One of the few consistently good and healthy options for a quick meal in the area. Will miss them. — Daniel on Mulberry & Vine has closed permanently
To think people are consuming Marijuana (legally), the horror! Lol — Petrified on Highgarden added to Greca?
To think that people in this state of the world would wish a local entrepreneur to fail. That is the true shame here. And to highlight ignorance, Greek Orthodox Easter is the follow weekend. Greca has afforded my friends and I years of love and positivity, pre and post a hospitality apocalypse in which owners + family have pivoted many times to survive. Long live Greca, Tom, and team. — Optimistic on Highgarden added to Greca?
What a nice sentiment for a local business that just closed. Kick dirt on many graves? — Cd on Mulberry & Vine has closed permanently
Easter is the time to remember that the Greek has gone from roasting lambs on the sidewalk to blazing doobies in the restaurant. — James on Highgarden added to Greca?
God bless them for taking meat off the menu. — Vegan on Highgarden added to Greca?
I loved M&V, this is so sad. I hope they can pivot to an online order delivery service because I would definitely stock our fridge that way. Gonna miss their vegan mash, sesame tofu, and chili glass noodles! — M on Mulberry & Vine has closed permanently
What a ridiculous comment to be putting on this article. This is not Yelp! — Tia K on Mulberry & Vine has closed permanently
Attorney With Dark Past to Lose Tribeca Duplex at Auction https://therealdeal.com/2022/04/15/notorious-attorney-to-lose-tribeca-duplex/ "[...] Omansky had declared the apartment exempt from creditors in his 2018 bankruptcy filing. But Instead of keeping the residence, which Omansky valued at $1.5 million, he will settle for a cash payment of less than 10 percent of that amount, according to settlement documents filed by a bankruptcy trustee. "The imminent sale of the two-story penthouse at 160 Chambers Street, recently listed by financial liquidation firm MYC & Associates, will cap a 14-year legal saga in which Omansky borrowed millions of dollars backed by the building’s ground-floor commercial unit. It’s a shame what they did to The Greek. It used to be such a great spot for delicious Greek food and a nice ambiance and it’s gone downhill since they got rid of meat on the menu. Now with this type of riff raff this place will surely fail in due time. Tribeca should not be encouraging this, leave that to the LES and BKLYN. — Julie on Highgarden added to Greca?
Thanks Pam for following-up on this. Spot on in terms of this violating the indoor smoking/vaping ban and, potentially, restrictions on sales. Any thoughts as to what CB1 will have to say/terms of the liquor license? No coincidence they took down the sign after the previous post. Hopefully this draws more attention to this place… to think some commenters were saying this was just CBD drops!! — Concerned on Highgarden added to Greca?
