It is the next readout of the rank choice process and the inclusion of mail in ballots. — JS Miller on City Council seat will require a second round of voting
What a shame that your only commentary about our emergency services is around politics. Not sure why public officials have anything to do with the fire department putting out fires, literally their job. — RHJC on Arsonist lights several fires around the neighborhood
Clarifying question: Does this mean we will need to cast our vote(s) again next Tuesday, or is that essentially the next readout (meaning, it's when the mail in/absentee ballots will be included)?? — B.Thompson on City Council seat will require a second round of voting

This area was never known to be even slightly dangerous in my long experience. There were large, properly maintained public restrooms before that I imagine will return, probably improved. — mulciber on Wagner Park opens July 29
Short, definitely worth-it walk to an absolutely _wonderful_ shop that still believes in print and carries nearly everything: Casa Magazines, 22 8th Avenue (at 12th Street). There may be closer places but I always take the opp. to mention Casa. — mulciber on Morgan’s will no longer sell newspapers
If you want the Sunday paper (or daily) just have it delivered. :-). — Luis (FiDi Fan Page) on Morgan’s will no longer sell newspapers
With respect, I think you buried the lede. If customers weren't STEALING newspapers and being increasingly rude, this story never happens. I don't blame Morgan's and certainly don't think they are being touchy; I blame the disrespectful, discourteous individuals who have stolen one more simple pleasure from us. — Robert C on Morgan’s will no longer sell newspapers

Overuse of em dashes - totally ChatGPT responses. He's not getting my vote. Congestion pricing has not increased foot traffic in lower Manhattan. It punishes the mom and pop stores in Chinatown. Monday - Thursday, Chinatown is dead by 8pm. Deliveries are more expensive because of congestion pricing. Add on Trump tariffs and restaurants and stores are getting killed. Also not a supporter of year round outdoor dining. The last thing Chinatown needs is to have their limited outdoor spaces turned into commercial use with drunken hipsters making noise until 4am every night. It is still a neighborhood with working class people who don't want it to turn into DimeSquare every night. Most of those bars there don't contribute anything to the neighborhood. — Not a Supporter on City Council Primary 2025: Jess Coleman
