What a wonderful tribute! Meeting Robert, getting to know and love both him and Jennifer was a highlight of my chapter living in NYC. It was so powerful roaming the streets with him filming him in the snowstorms making art. He would always direct me telling me how to get certain buildings in for context. Yup. They’re working the sidewalk and have to do the part on bike walking path. There is also a light that is kept on all night in the lower deck of the bleachers or something. It seems complete waste of city energy and adds more glaring intrusive light for residents. — j. on Seen & Heard: Let the day drinking begin

Hi Jill, I'm truly sorry you feel this way as clearly we have been misunderstood and misrepresented throughout this process. Opening a new business should not be viewed as a negative — It brings jobs and tax dollars to the area which has always been in the spirit of Manhattan and is our ultimate aim. Although you're entitled to your opinion, we are doing nothing illegal and we have expressed both verbally and through our actions that we are fully committed to resolving your concerns in the best interest of the neighborhood. I would welcome a direct conversation as we feel strongly that there is a path to resolution here that does not involve a contentious legal battle or public disparagement. If you would like to discuss, please email me directly and I will make the time. Zak zak@irisnova.com — Zak Normandin on Neighbors fight the cocktail lounge coming to 293 Church

Electrical connections will be shoddy -- extension cords taped to streets so people don't trip, water, electrocution!!!??? dangling wires, more of a fire hazard than propane. I hope this regulation is taken up and fought against. And yes, getting any kind of service from the city -- gas, electrical will take too long to be of use to restaurants. — Martine on In the News: A suit after the parties at 1 Harrison
