Absolutely horrifying and heartbreaking — Pierre on Asian hate crimes, on our doorstep
A NYC infection rate under 2% (it's at 6% now) would "go a long way to make us feel like we're getting back to normal." Crowds of people from states or countries with even higher infection rates? Not so much. — J Frank P on Nosy Neighbor: Why are there still police barricades up at the 9/11 Memorial?
It was a great turnout at the rally yesterday, 2k+ ppl showed up. Unfortunately a mother was attacked right in front of her child on their way to the rally. It could have easily been me since I have been taking my kids to these events. :( https://www.amny.com/new-york/manhattan/the-villager/protester-against-anti-asian-violence-attacked-in-noho-hate-crime/ — TribecaMom on Asian hate crimes, on our doorstep

That fireplace should not be allowed. This was not the first fire at Tiny's and probably won't be the last. Makes one go "hmmm" — dianne talan on Seen & Heard: Amazon returns at Whole Foods
I too have a soft spot for that little deco building.Someone starts with a pencil building and suddenly they are everywhere. I hate when developers do this with no respect for what is already there. They do it like a fad here there anywhere. STOP — dianne talan on Potential plans for 600-foot building at 267 Broadway
And City Winery at Pier 57 is reopening for live music on April 6th!! Yay!! — SW on Live from over Tribeca
At Smith & Mills the limited cooking that they do is on an electric hot plate, there is no fire or even gas, so I am not sure what possible issue they would have with the fire department. — Reademan on Challah Dolly x Tiny’s + matzo ball soup on Fridays
Not to be overlooked was Chef Johnson's cooking at Frenchie's in Paris. Can't wait for this new arrival. — JCW on Soon to come at 1 White: the vertical Nutopian Embassy

And why is the poster above a "disgruntled neighbor" instead of someone concerned for the safety of their community? I doubt they have some agenda to see small businesses shut down. It's seems much more likely that they've noticed an issue and hope that attention is drawn to it so it can be fixed and everyone can be happy and move along with their lives. I hope that Tiny's will be around for many years, while operating safely of course. — JB on Challah Dolly x Tiny’s + matzo ball soup on Fridays
Walked by the old Maison Kayser space today and saw the windows were papered with Chanson logo. Does that mean the pastry shop from Flatiron is opening an outpost in Tribeca? Or was the plan halted due to the pandemic? — TribecaMom on Where in Tribeca?
No, not Murray... — Tribeca Citizen on Where in Tribeca?
Where is the proof? The word of a disgruntled neighbor complaining about the smell and claiming what she sees out her window is hardly enough to bash a local business. Produce some proof or take it up with the fire department rather than trolling behind the safety of your keyboard. I will defend all of our local businesses because without them, we don’t have much of a neighborhood. — K on Challah Dolly x Tiny’s + matzo ball soup on Fridays
Oh yes, the Fire Department caught them so many times at Smith & Mills. Its legendary. — TheNeighbor on Challah Dolly x Tiny’s + matzo ball soup on Fridays
Bad mouthing a local business when you don’t know any of the facts is slanderous. You have no idea how they are maintaining their fireplace, or why the fire department may have been there or what they found. The fire department is more than capable of dealing with any problems that they find at Tiny’s. — Reademan on Challah Dolly x Tiny’s + matzo ball soup on Fridays
K is either not that bright or being intentionally obtuse. Just because you "enjoy occasionally dining at Tiny's" does not absolve them of fire safety. Them being irresponsible by not properly maintaining their fireplace puts themselves, their neighbor's residences, and surrounding business' livelihoods at stake. By holding businesses accountable, we can ensure that Tribeca's residents and businesses thrive. Fires can be absolutely devastating so why wouldn't we demand all measures possible to prevent one? I believe that Tiny's is run by the same people as Warren 77. If that's the case I'm not surprised they're having problems because 77's management was a mess. — JB on Challah Dolly x Tiny’s + matzo ball soup on Fridays
Another party, more arrests, and a drunken 17 year old fell down the stairs. It is time to hear from the owner of Puffy's! I do appreciate how challenging these times have been for small businesses, but operating an illegal business and alienating your neighbors doesn't fly. If the police ever police to stop these parties, and he loses his loyal customer base as a result of these activities, I would say he had it coming. — Elizabeth on Illegal party busted at 1 Harrison Saturday night
Taking a guess here for 50 Murray Street as they have a similar wall outside and there are a lot of pets in this building? regards, SS — Sonia Stock on Where in Tribeca?
