How does one recommend a restoration of a park? Finn Square by Gotan is lookup mighty beaten up — Brian on An effort to expand Duane Park is underway
I can see this taking away business from Morgans Market (maybe). I hope it is simple basic general beverages and snacks. Not a cuisine themed cart. I too will miss that expansive view but hopefully this addition is nice and can see it giving it more of an enclosed space feel.. Also, more plants and flowers definitely, please. — j. on Bogardus Plaza will get a food/beverage kiosk

Why does it have to be so vast, so gigantic? A simple sculpture or art work on a plinth with a plaque and some nice planting around it will do. Surely there is room for such a memorial in BPC. — George Bacon on Committee formed to site essential workers monument in BPC
I emailed offering to help last week! Looking forward to hearing from you guys and getting involved! DB — DB on An effort to expand Duane Park is underway
Which is why it makes even more sense to extend NORTH not south. — DB on An effort to expand Duane Park is underway
I wonder how our restaurants feel about this. Also the food carts which are a part of the city and we shouldn't push them out anymore than they have in spots. Oy vey...we need these type A'ers to work toward some real change not this little additions. — TG on Bogardus Plaza will get a food/beverage kiosk
A lot of money would be spent for an ever-so-slight extension. We need to make sure the FDNY have plenty of room to get back to their house as well. I'm a big NO on this one. — TG on An effort to expand Duane Park is underway
I agree. — EL on Bogardus Plaza will get a food/beverage kiosk
like putting 10 pounds of potatoes in a 5 pond bag! — perry rothenberg on An effort to expand Duane Park is underway
Absolutely agree! At a minimum get rid of street parking in at least one side and make the park larger. It would be better to permanently pedestrianize one of the two streets. There is so much more potential for these spaces other than a parking spot for about 15 cars. — FiDiGuy on An effort to expand Duane Park is underway
It’s the door right next (west) to it, not sure if they’re affiliated with the wine people/social club. The green wood was taken down and the door has a plastic handle on it for a few weeks now. — Nyc on Japanese bar Icca opening soon?
You mean the wine bar? When I covered it on March 3, it was poised to open. Needless to say that was tough first year... — Tribeca Citizen on Japanese bar Icca opening soon?
Really? is that the best design they could come up with? what a beautiful addition, it flows perfectly with all the new port-a-potty like design we have in the streets of tribeca for outdoor dinning. I love the idea of all that outdoor space that will stay forever on our streets after the pandemic is long gone. Why not use this opportunity to try and make our streets cleaner and a bit more beautiful. Downtown is dirty and disgusting. — Can't we do better??? on Bogardus Plaza will get a food/beverage kiosk
Speaking of 3 years in the works, What’s up with the sushi spot on Barclay near church? That also looks close? — Nyc on Japanese bar Icca opening soon?

HI Pam, Mickey is located on the Thomas Street side of the Western Union Building but since you took the photograph of Mickey it has been labeled 13,14, 15 in black paint on each of the circles, regards, Sonia S. — SONIA STOCK on Where in Tribeca?
As others have noted, a more ambitious larger plan would be welcome. There’s no reason for this much street surface in this area at all. — J on An effort to expand Duane Park is underway

Watched the first episode of "My Unorthodox Life" and spent most of the time trying to guess which building their three story apartment was in. It wold flash Tribeca and then the street would be in SoHo or Greenwich Village or Hudson Square. She is quite a character! — JS Miller on In the News: The last bank leaves Wall Street
Cuomo wants credit for everything he does so the monument needs to be on state controlled property. DeBlasio will not make it easy for Cuomo to get credit for anything which is why BPC is always the dumping ground for anything Cuomo can put his name on. — TribecaMom on Committee formed to site essential workers monument in BPC
Good. Makes for an engaging plaza. Brings more life back to the part of Tribeca that serves the office and working communities near us — Patrick on Bogardus Plaza will get a food/beverage kiosk
