So by that logic we introduce a "prevent food service clause" across all buildings in Tribeca and close most restaurants and food stores. No Bubby's, Walkers, Tamarind, Benvenuto, Puffy's, Morgans Market, Odeon, most of Greenwich Street and West Broadway. All gone. Hurrah. Why bother living in NYC or Tribeca ? You can have no restaurants, deli's, bagels, pizza, people and well... just life on the streets by living outside of the city. Every issue of TC we read about increases in rent, paper work and barriers from the local board and city forcing restaurants, stores and businesses to close. An observation and question re: NYPD Thurs. and Fri. evenings, during 6-6:30 time, NYPD cars run their sirens on congested Hudson St. and add to NOISE regularly. But I suspect his percent of common interest isn't large enough that he could have changed the outcome. I can definitely understand why residents don't want food service facilities in the building for fear of vermin and rodents. They fled in the opposite direction on Greenwich made a left on Harrison and went on West Side Hwy. I was coming back from dinner with my family and they almost ran into us. We were on Harrison making a right turn on Greenwich and when I saw them I veered to the right to avoid them. I told my family right away that they just stole the car. Downtown Dance Factory (DDF) informed parents yesterday about this incident. It was a mom waiting outside of the building to pick up her child/dancer. That area and building in particular has a lot of safety concerns. Last month a homeless man OD’d in front of the door, parents and kids were side-stepping him.
