  • I had the exact same experience. My groceries were due to arrive yesterday afternoon and the tracking on the Amazon website started and everything. It even told me my deliverer was on the way. Food never showed and they cancelled my order. — Ed on Whole Foods packed; shelves empty

  • Was there on a Sat or Sun for brunch this Fall... it was a relatively short wait (they texted us when they had seats available - we sat at the counter where we chatted with Chef Yoo). LOVED the Chicken Katsu Club (and ditto the Chinatown Sando). Staff was pleasant and understated. Prices very reasonable for this quality and creativity. Also, I believe the artwork is from locals. Looking forward to trying them for dinner once restaurants reopen, as they and many other places will need our support. — Franklin Foodie on New Kid in Two Bridges: Golden Diner

  • I ordered from Whole Foods on March 13 and with little choice of delivery times, I was due to receive the order yesterday evening, March 15 between 5-7 pm. When I didn't receive it by 7pm, I started contacting Prime and Amazon, They were very unhelpful and told me I might still get the order. In the middle of the night, I received an email that the order was cancelled without any explanation. I can understand that they couldn't deliver the order for various reasons, but I would have appreciated a text to that effect. — Joan Randell on Whole Foods packed; shelves empty

  • He isn't perfect but the mayor has done a # of good things for the city. Here are just a few: Pre-K for NYC children Dial NYC NYPL increase funding & massive digital upgrade $40-50 Billion for affordable housing Expanded sick day leave Minimum wage increase to $15 per hour NYPD now use body cameras Small amounts of marijuana leads to tickets but not arrests oh and you may like this one Michelle: NYC is home to more billionaires under this mayor. Don't be ignorant - learn stuff soon. — TG on How FlashDancers is handing the coronavirus outbreak

  • Coronavirus is such a complex subject and it requires true leadership. Yes, it is a huge issue financially for businesses as well as everyone else. But this is way beyond that, just like 9/11 was. The rules are out the window. We must self quarantine or lives will be put at risk. This is not a time for selfishness or self indulgence. — Marc on Seen & Heard: Love in the time of COVID-19

  • Thank you for all your hard work Alex TM. This is a trying time for all of us and you and your fellow workers have been real life savers for us all. I hope you stay safe and know that your work is appreciated. — TG on Whole Foods packed; shelves empty

  • Not sure how much City Winery shaming there is but "those" people who are "defying" the virus are selfish and ultimately ignorant. Their symptoms may be non-existent but what about those around them? This virus isn't about the individual. — TG on Seen & Heard: Love in the time of COVID-19

  • Elena, I love you ❤️ so proud of you ! So many negative comments, from miserable people They have nothing else better to do then slash your Brand.. You nurture the communities and give to the unfortunate.. You have a heart of gold .. Happy to have you back in Florida We forgive them ???? • I agree with the sentiments of BGE in that it would be good to have local businesses let the site know if they are open. Restaurants and stores with take out and delivery services can be supported to try to help them through this. Many of the larger restaurant chains have closed down completely but if any local places are trying to stay open and still offering take out or delivery we would be happy to try to support them. — Bob on Seen & Heard: Love in the time of COVID-19

  • One employee at 19 fulton street tested positive. 3rd floor. Offices being cleaned. Fyi. — Val on In the News: Citibank has one confirmed case of COVID-19

  • I was talking a walk and saw City Vineyard, it was shocking. But agree with BGE. Eater has been posting lists of restaurants offer new/special delivery. Keep in mind that if a restaurant isn’t already on a delivery app they can’t get up and running immediately and typically, the apps charge a massive commission. However, Seamless sent out an email noting they are waiving the commission and offering other services like contactless delivery. I think it’s always best to call and order, especially now. You can also buy gift cards now to use later. — SP on Seen & Heard: Love in the time of COVID-19

  • Im glad for the activity at this site and progress. I was wondering for months what was going on — Patrick on Cornices being removed at 131 Duane – the Hope Building

  • Instead of love in Covid 19 or shaming City Winery, can we figure out some ways through the site to help our local businesses during this time while remaining safe? Maybe a list of who will be open and delivering after Tuesday, or any other ways we can help? Also maybe a place where people who are high risk might need help getting access to food or other necessities can ask for it? — BGE on Seen & Heard: Love in the time of COVID-19

  • What a bunch of self-absorbed, selfish losers. The party is over for awhile for them as there will be a ban on dining out in NYC - take out and delivery only. — Shame on City Winery on Seen & Heard: Love in the time of COVID-19

  • March 15. Schools are closed in NYC along with Kentucky where I reside and many other states. By March 22 the virus will have doubled again so go get some cash out of the bank while you can. You can always redeposit when this blows over. Take some and things you could sell or trade. Better safe than sorry. — Tony on Run at the bank? And could New York City schools close soon?

  • As a team member of whole foods I can definitely say that the distributing Warehouse we have are extremely backed up. Yes, that is going to be like this in the next few days. But unfortunately because of the excessive buying we are doing, we have a cap limit and we cannot buy as much as before. So whatever is in the shelves is likely all we have. People are just grabbing what they need. All other spices, dressings, liquor, and things from the hot bar I untouched. — Alex TM on Whole Foods packed; shelves empty
