I've lived on Warren for six years. Three of those have been taken over by this endless construction. It's unfathomable to me that it can take this long to repair a street. Sadly, I made the encounter of that wicked witch (hag) of the west today; although I actually have a service animal because I’m visually and mobility impaired. She not only went after my service animal, but she also went after my disability. My disability that I incurred during my service impeded her liberty, according to her. She didn’t leave me alone; she followed me. I get harassed constantly for being disabled but man some of the words this woman said were hurtful. I don’t advertise that I’m disabled and that I need additional help that my service dog provides. He’s not a pet; he works day in and day out. He also doesn’t go into restaurants with me if I can help it; only on the absolute rare occasion when I don’t have the luxury of having someone else’s help. I hate that people are taking advantage of service dogs; mine has and continuously goes through extensive training and he gets a bad rep because of people that just want their pooch with them. My point is that if infrastructure construction is allowed, and the state and city have determined that they can run these sites safely for workers, then they should be staffed and working and finishing these projects that have taken 10 times longer than is reasonable. That essential infra construction projects (water main etc.) should not be allowed to continue, or, that private non-essential projects should be allowed as well?! - The DDC press release and the Governor's directive all seem very clear and reasonable. He recognized and stopped me, which was surprising as it had been such a long time.... You were a wonderful neighbor. I'm glad you are well. I am so saddened by this news. I just sent a message as I regular did to him ask a question and was advised his passing. I’ve been a patient for about 6 years. I will miss him scolding me to eat more salads before my meals and live a healthier life. He was almost like a dad, especially when I was prepping for my wedding day and got my checkup before travels, he would just listen to all the details. Love in the Underground A great group! The station is a mystery. Very clean. And no identifying signs anywhere. The announcement at the end said "The L train is arriving on the Manhattan side."
