  • The Target store on Greenwich has a grocery section downstairs. It is not a Best Market replacement or Whole Foods but for some things it is less expensive alternative in the neighborhood. — JPL on Best Market Has Closed

  • Old Tribeca, I totally agree. Where are our "elected officials"? No advocates for us. — Native on Best Market Has Closed

  • Greedy landlord strikes again! Trying to shut down PS 150, and now our only neighborhood supermarket, with reasonable prices! Now our only option is to shop at Whole(paycheck)Foods! Nope Not me! I will now be forced to shop in Jersey! — Old Tribeca on Best Market Has Closed

  • The only " affordable" supermarket in the area. Especially for seniors. so sad for the neighborhood. First supermarket which tenants fought for " Food Emporium". Its such a disgrace that these landlords get away with these horrible things that will effect everyone. — Native on Best Market Has Closed

  • So sad, maybe the despicable landlords will give the tenants some information about the messy construction and noise that will be going on. They have never had any regard for tenants. No one is realizing how dark this block will be a night now. It will be an issue. — native on Best Market Has Closed

  • So very sad, that fried chicken was the best. — Bo Feely on Best Market Has Closed

  • The bollards do look good, esp compared to the temporary concrete barriers. Glad they did it. But...if you live within earshot of West St, they are doing the work in the middle of the night (2am-4am). Jackhammering, vibrations, trucks beeping etc. I needed ear plugs, a white noise machine AND the A/C (on a chilly night) to only partly muffle the noise. Get ready for a sleepless night when they come to your street.. — Danielle on Seen & Heard: Bike Path Bollards

  • #1 is the second, and much shorter-lived version of Duane Park. The original, and, for our family at least, much missed Duane Park was a gracious, grown up neighborhood restaurant perfect for celebrating life milestones and achievements: — N on Quiz: Dead Restaurants

  • Fun Fact - NATIVE Americans were run out of Lower Manhattan waaaay before 9/11. DeNiro left the neighborhood (Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of a View of Central Park), but still has businesses & buildings in the 'hood. But why let facts stand in the way of bullshit rants? — Jim Smithers on In the News: Bomb Suspect Arrested

  • actually TG this is for comments. I can write anything I want to and that is none of your business. — NATIVE on In the News: Bomb Suspect Arrested

  • I ordered the Rivets box which comes with two sides included in the price. The Rivets shaker offers one side. Perhaps the mustard rule applies only to the full size pretzels. I agree that charging separately for mustard (or any side) is not a good idea. If I wanted an extra side then a fee would be appropriate. — Ruben on Seen & Heard: Bike Path Bollards

  • Actually NATIVE you are wrong. DeNiro moved out of TriBeCa well before 9/11. It really is none of your business either way. Chill man - there are other things to worry about. — TG on In the News: Bomb Suspect Arrested

  • An awful lot of people live in the Broadway corridor now, thanks to a spate of conversions and new construction (93 Worth, 88 Leonard, 101 Leonard, 5 Franklin Place, etc.) And there are more on the way: 91 Leonard, 108 Leonard, 49 Chambers, etc. Whether or not these restaurants will appeal to them is an open question, of course. — Erik Torkells on Seen & Heard: Another New Chibeca Restaurant
