  • I hate to say this, but I've started using the $20 online services. They are really easy to do after you have uploaded your information. All your information is stored, and it's scanned and emailed to you. It's more expensive, but if you are only doing it a handful of times a year, it's easier than spending an hour trying to find a notary. — EHS on Crowd Sourcing: Where can you find a notary around here?

  • You may not trust the driverless cars but humans are even less deserving of your trust. According to the NIH, driverless cars are 80% less likely to be involved in a crash resulting in injury (link to study below). Driverless technology is improving daily and humans aren't so the advantage will widen over time. The driverless car never has one cocktail too many, looks at its iPhone in traffic or turns its head around to yell at the kids. People who would outlaw driverless cars despite overwhelming evidence apparently "do not care that their biases can cost lives or limbs." https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39485678/ — Thomas Hagen on Waymo self-driving car tests the Tribeca streets

  • I don't like this one bit. I'm a modern person with a healthy respect and appreciation for technology. But I don't really trust these things in the edge cases that cities often present. The people behind these corporations do not care that their experiments can cost lives or limbs. — malcolm on Waymo self-driving car tests the Tribeca streets

I don't know the facts on why they closing but i will say this effects those members and the community members as a whole. Having this gym in the center off nyc its very much appreciative. • The 311 app now has a specific button that lets you report issues with cannabis stores (e.g. - proximity issues, sales of illegal product outside, suspicious activity, etc.). Note also that Canal Smoke Shop (at Canal and Church) is definitely within 200 feet of the house of worship across the street (Chabad of SoHo). It should never have been approved as it clearly violates the proximity statute. — SoHo on Alto Canna dispensary caught in bureaucratic snag

  • There is no mention of race in the article or the comments. The only racist is you, who seems to assume that people of color are the only ones capable of being 'savages' or 'lunatics' per the OP.
