  • Now they are saying they were installing generator to one of the buildings. — TribecaMom on A Huge Crane Collapsed on Worth Street

  • I walked past yesterday morning and my friend commented abut how scary walking by was. It was on a mobile base so it could have been moving to another location. I can't think of any construction going on between Hudson and W. Broadway on Worth. It did sound like an explosion. I was thinking that it was weird that the storm was creating thunder then i heard the sirens. So terrible. — TribecaMom on A Huge Crane Collapsed on Worth Street

  • Not 56 Leonard - the one that was doing god knows what between Hudson and West Broadway on Worth. But it now stretched all the way to Church... It's a mess, hope no further casualties — M on A Huge Crane Collapsed on Worth Street

  • Ehhh but still nicer than Truffles... Truffles is one ugly building. I agree that they need to do some planting a outside... Just finished the sidewalk a few months ago so perhaps in the spring. The change in massing / floors and height is certainly a detractor as well. — Rohin on New Building Report Card: 290 West

  • Location, location, location...Granted if you are living there you might not be schlepping to the 1 or ACE every morning at 7:30a but that walk along Canal is really AWFUL. Pile on all of the traffic and horn blowing when Canal is backed up onto West and you have crummy building. The metal facade that doesn't line up is really telling too about the interiors. Although I'm not annoyed at the exterior I'd rather have a park/fountain/community garden. — JT on New Building Report Card: 290 West

  • That crane is a big one and it's going to get bigger! I've stopped to talk to the workers and the crane is lifting 5 very large generators and all of the attendant equipment to the roof of 60 Hudson. Once the first part of the lift is over, 50 more feet of boom will be attached. That will be a sight! — Andrea on Seen & Heard: Color Me Mine’s New Location

  • Oh yeah! I remember now. Fredrick did buy his unit at 290 West in the last season of MDL NY. Bldg was under construction so he and his hubby had to wear hard hats. Maybe we'll see the interiors of the bldg once he moves in in the upcoming season. — TribecaMom on New Building Report Card: 290 West
