Franklin between Greenwich and Hudson. — Jim on Where in Tribeca: Christmas Edition
Feel bad for this unfortunate small business. at some point, tribeca might consider forming it’s own security or BID to help control this type of issues. Worth the expense IMO. also for 2023, maybe TC can streamline the comments so it’s easier to have a true dialogue? the robot screen and even the moderation are a bit of a downer — scared on Two Kids and a Dog burglarized — twice

No, they should not have...go South, go North; you've got tennis courts. It would be a complete eyesore to make this upland area a court...more fun for all this way! — TG on Breaking ground on new science playground for Hudson River Park

I just had lunch here and it was excellent! Very delicious food, great service, and very reasonably priced! I will definitely be back. The eggplant meatballs and harissa sauce were my favs. A very welcome addition to the neighborhood! — FiDiGuy on Sneak Peek: Tara Kitchen will open on Church tomorrow
Just finished lunch there - one of the most wonderful, tasty, delicious meals I've had in a while. Every bite of each dish was our favorite -- and the chef/owner is a fantastic human. We love it, we will be back. — Jeff on Sneak Peek: Tara Kitchen will open on Church tomorrow

Chambers is a GEM. Food, drinks, ambiance, service... just right for every occasion, or no occasion at all. We feel so lucky to live around the corner! Few restaurants keep us coming back as eagerly and regularly as Chambers. — E. on Reade on New Kid on the Block: Chambers
Better than a plastic bag, if you have an old full or queen sized sheet: spread it out on your floor right next to the tree. Lay your tree in the middle of it like it’s a hot dog. Have someone grab the top 2 corners and someone else the bottom 2 corners and carry it down like that. Wash the sheet after and use it again next year. It’s easier than the plastic bag and much more environmentally friendly. — Dee on Seen & Heard: Hate the smell of fresh pine?

Love love love chambers. Great peeps, fab food, amazing wines and drinks. Friendly staff (was there last night-superb meal of foie gras (special recommended by Jared), veal sweetbreads, chx, hanger steak, rabe w Japanese sweet potato, chicory + jurancon sec, chenin blanc and Corsican red, recommended by Pascaline). The last time I had veal sweetbreads as good was over 20 years ago on honeymoon at Trosgros in Roanne. They have a very reasonably priced NYE dinner that is BYOB ( one bottle per guest) which is a gift when compared to many other similar places who ask $250+ with champagne toast but will cost a lot more once you add in the typical three figure $ wines from the restaurant wine list. And the lighting (track spotlights on table) and decor since they reopened is also to be saluted. Delicious sesame bread. Our super gracious friendly waiter turned out to be a knitter when he admitted a knitted vest I was wearing. Unknown skills at every turn 😄 — KO964 on New Kid on the Block: Chambers
Sheesh, how impatient are you? — Tribeca Citizen on Seen & Heard: Hate the smell of fresh pine?
Thank you, James, for the link and info. It isn't clear there whether the trees should be put out only on the regular trash days during that period (Jan 6-14), or any day. I'll assume it's best to put them out on trash days. Also no word there about other kinds of shrubs. I assume a pine shrub would be acceptable...but maybe not if it has roots and soil still attached. Hmmm. I'll have to call 311, I guess. — Marcus on Seen & Heard: Hate the smell of fresh pine?
Love how this comment wasn’t published first time around, but anyways the balloon tree is cute but I prefer to put up with the fresh smell of pine than contributing to adding non-biodegradable plastic to the world. — Cordcutter on Seen & Heard: Hate the smell of fresh pine?
Suggestion: First, put your tree in a clear plastic bag before you remove the tree from your apartment to contain needle mess. Second, cut and remove the plastic bag from the tree once you have placed it at the curb, since DSNY rules forbid the bag. From https://www1.nyc.gov/assets/dsny/site/services/food-scraps-and-yard-waste-page/christmas-trees "Before your Christmas tree can be collected, you MUST: * Remove ALL lights, ornaments, tinsel, and stands from the tree. * Make sure the tree is not wrapped in ANY plastic or placed inside a plastic bag. * Leave the tree at the curb between the designated dates (January 6 - 14)." — james on Seen & Heard: Hate the smell of fresh pine?
I can’t believe I didn’t read the reviews. You think it’s a great service until the dresses arrive and they don’t fit. They charge you in full for the dresses. For me, none of them fit I immediately left the dresses to be picked up and sent several emails. There was no communication for a few days then I receive a message that the dresses have been picked up and once they arrive at the warehouse customer service will reach out to me for a refund, this was over a week ago and after sending multiple emails I did not hear anything back. I was changed over 1,000 for dresses I did not wear and have not heard one word about my refund. I will be disputing this with my credit card, absolutely terrible customer service. You don’t leave a client hanging after you have taken their money for a service that did not work. No one answers the phone or responds to emails, how can you be in the service industry with no customer service or client care!?? I can’t believe it. Do NOT use this service. I received an email after posting this review that my refund was issued last week and it takes 3-5 business days. I requested a receipt to show me proof of this refund being processed and was told I would receive it yesterday. I still have no receipt indicating a refund has been processed and by the way no receipt for the first payment: I was charged December 9th it is now December 21st. — Stav on New Kid on the Block: Nova Octo
