Where will the new PPOW gallery be? — Marcus on In the News: More gallery updates
CITI is overtaking us. The beauty of TriBeCa is the tranquility. Introducing more docs will bring unwanted traffic, garbage, and late-night activity. The racks would be better served to the riders when closer to the water where the real requirements exist. I wonder who is driving the disruption of our beautiful enclave? — request to remove the Racks on A new Citi Bike station lands on Hudson
My dream a drink with Tony at Ones— we discuss the Code of the West — Ken Bolton on Seen & Heard: Jin Market space for sale
I cannot comprehend how the decision was made to add this many bikes on Laight & Washington. Within three blocks to the south, north and east there are other bike stations, two of which are massive in size. To take away almost an entire block of parking for bikes that the immediate neighborhood doesn't need is patently ridiculous. I wish I knew which committee was responsible for this blunder...maybe we should be writing them letters... — C on A new Citi Bike station lands on Hudson

We need these types of businesses in Tribeca, especially those who are trying to listen to and connect with the neighborhood - there will always be those who just want the area to wind up being a boring, culture-less place that caters to their oddities — Bc on Wine and cocktail bar coming to the Dirty Lemon space on Church

Like if parking isn't already bad and the 100 dock station on Laight and Hudson wasn't enough for citibank. They have to take the little bit of residential parking that was left. Its ridiculous smh — Mike on A new Citi Bike station lands on Hudson

Adams is Trump( liar) and De Blasio (real estate) rolled into one. His campaign slogans are now in rear view mirror. Will New York ever recover from itself? — R. on In the News: A lower Lower Manhattan
My (grown) kids are big Citibikers. Me not so much, with my own bikes and fairly fixed routes. I love the system, of course, it's such a great mobility service. And it's fun seeing "Inside Baseball" discourse about bikesharing on a non-biking site. Kind of ratifies the slow but steady trend toward moving biking into the NYC mainstream. — Komanoff on Citi Bike logjam seems to be loosening
I think New Yorkers will pay dearly for voting Adams into office. How did he become the democratic nominee anyway? It seemed so unlikely and then he won over intelligent, qualified candidates like Maya Wiley. It seems that many people are drawn to the big mouth bully tactic that Adams used (kind of like Trump). They don’t look at who the person really is. What we have now is someone who will only look out for his own interests (deBlasio loooved himself, but Adams loooooooves himself even more). Crime is skyrocketing in the city and there is no justice for the victims. Lifelong New Yorkers like us are planning their permanent departures from the city that is great no more, and actually lost its individuality long ago. Big chain stores and restaurants are everywhere in the country so why pay exorbitant rents and higher prices for the same things that the rest of the country pays a lot less for? — Choy on In the News: A lower Lower Manhattan
As frustrating as they can be, I do find that if you fill out this form (https://lyft-bikes-scooters.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000807254), attach screenshots of your ride summery showing the missing points- and here's the tough one- screenshots showing app points as they were shown during your ride- they quickly and cheerily give you your missing points. I just now automatically do a screen grab of my starting and finishing stations just before I take my ride, as insurance. — Robert Ripps on Citi Bike logjam seems to be loosening

@Madeline - Advice from someone with experience trying to get DOT to enforce any regulations regarding street sheds: don't get your hopes up for a remedy, but also don't give up on filing complaints and writing letters to city officials! a) Continue to file 311 complaints about the abandoned shed, note the 311 Service Request numbers, and follow up on them. b) Write to DOT Commissioner Rodriguez and ask him to follow through on the city's promise to take down abandoned sheds. c) Write to your City Council Member, Christopher Marte. He is on record as being very concerned about the public health (and other) issues inhabitants of his district have experienced as a result of the proliferation of restaurant street sheds. d) Write to your community board District Manager and let him know what's happening - Man01@cb.nyc.gov Best of luck to you in keeping your beloved business safe and clean! — Avery Desjardins on Picking up other people’s garbage on Duane Street
