Thank you for this post: I am sharing. — Tatyana Belyavskaya on Still Working: KidLit TV
Mikey, I agree. Is it worth throwing ourselves into a second great depression that will last years and years? We should be protecting the vulnerable and letting everyone else get back to work. — CD on Nosy Neighbor: Why was the Warren Street path through City Hall Park closed?
Love in the Underground A great group! The station is a mystery. Very clean. And no identifying signs anywhere. The announcement at the end said "The L train is arriving on the Manhattan side." And on the stairs in the background there is a blurry number on the risers. — Cristine Richmond on Seen & Heard: A few items that have nothing to do with the virus
Just pointing out. Be very prepared to live in a very different nyc. — Mikey on Nosy Neighbor: Why was the Warren Street path through City Hall Park closed?

What a gift! Tulips remind us hope is here and spring has sprung — Mary Li on Run Don’t Walk: Tulip explosion in Washington Market Park
I met Dr Quraishi in 1992 during one of the medical grand rounds at NY Downtown Hospital. I had just joined the hospital as a staff Endocrinologist. He impressed me as a knowledgeable, caring and compassionate individual. Over the years, I saw many of his pts in consultation and I got to know him as a consummate physician. His passing will be truly missed and I know that a void has been created with his passing. My condolences to his family, friends and pts. I will truly miss him. — Howard E Huey, DO on Dr. Nisar Quraishi dies from the coronavirus at 74
They are preparing for the revolt of the masses. Only a couple more weeks before new Yorkers start marching in streets to end lock downs. 596 jobs loss for every 1 death might be excessive — Mikey on Nosy Neighbor: Why was the Warren Street path through City Hall Park closed?
It is locked during the day, which hasn’t happened since Rudy was Mayor. — A. on Nosy Neighbor: Why was the Warren Street path through City Hall Park closed?
People are not adhering to social distancing, so it’s a preventative, not punitive decision. Appears crime is on the rise and our neighborhoods have seen a fair share. Homelessness is exacerbated by the pandemic. Safety first. That corridor is dark, an open invitation for issues. — Vima on Nosy Neighbor: Why was the Warren Street path through City Hall Park closed?
When Rudy Guiliani was first elected mayor he had it locked all the time. — dianne talan on Nosy Neighbor: Why was the Warren Street path through City Hall Park closed?
Marvelous! Spring will always return, and just in time. — Richard on Run Don’t Walk: Tulip explosion in Washington Market Park
Dancing with DDF has kept the dancers active, sane and happy, and being able to spend time with their friends and teachers has kept a much-needed normalcy in their lives. DDF jumped into action and sent out videos and super-heroically put together a zoom dance schedule in a heartbeat, and our kids (and the parents) are so lucky to be part of the DDF family. DDF's classes are something the dancers look forward to every day. Thank you so much, Hanne and Melanie and all the teachers for the love and inspiration you are giving our children, and for all you do for our downtown community. We cannot wait to see the kids back where they long to be, in the dance studio with their DDF family. Much love and thanks! — Ann Colby on Local Business Update: Downtown Dance Factory
Such an outstanding doctor and friend. I was a patient of Dr Quraishi's for 20 years or so. I'm sure it took me the first five years to realize what a great sense of humor he had, like so many others have commented, a dry wit indeed. He really gave me the business every time I put on a few pounds. But also he was insightful and thoughtful as a physician and a kind and caring man. So proud of the accomplishments of his sons and his grandchildren, it was always wonderful to catch up with him. I think of him very fondly, me his memory be a blessing. — Rob Asen on Dr. Nisar Quraishi dies from the coronavirus at 74
He was my doctor for over 15 years-- went to his office following a friend to his appointment. I ask the doctor could I get a tune up and a oil change too. He gave me a complete physical. I saw doc in January for checkup at NYU--- I was to schedule online visit with him for may as we've done for years-- I'm at a real loss. God is Greater for sure! — Hector Cooper on Dr. Nisar Quraishi dies from the coronavirus at 74
The architecture office on Thomas with the MV Agusta F4 parked right inside is pretty neat but David Gage Strings is by far the coolest looking workshop in all of Tribeca. — @en_b on Seen & Heard: Rent a violin!
How incredibly lucky these kids are to have a home that extends past the walls of DDF and remarkably folds into the fabric of their lives. Now more than ever, I am so thankful for the community Hanne and Melanie have created. It keeps us connected and together and hopeful that when we come out the other side, we will love to dance together even more than we did before. Thank you for the heart and the soul you send out into this world. Love ❤️ — Heide Valero on Local Business Update: Downtown Dance Factory

What Hanne and Melanie have done for this community is nothing short of heroic. From minute one they provided normalcy, community and routine to a very different and unprecedented time.
