  • Speaking of vacancies (and sorry if I missed a post on this!) but does anyone know what is going on at the Chipotle location on Murray and Greenwich? • A.- I'm excited about Frenchette, but your comment got me wondering about the going rate per person for a chicken entree (sometimes with potatoes) in our neighborhood. Here's what I found: Above $32 per person Locanda Verde Marc Forgione $31-$32 per person Frenchette Little Park Tiny's Odeon American Cut $29-$30 per person Yves Tribeca Grill Sure, we'd all like prices to be lower, but in context Frenchette seems like they're pretty reasonable for this market. — Tribeca Chicken on New Kid on the Block: Frenchette

  • $64 for roast chicken and potatoes for two? I suspect the neighbors who will be jamming the place are same folks whose 1 year old children wear $350 Montcler down jackets. The local emperor has no/very expensive clothes. — A. on New Kid on the Block: Frenchette

  • DOG poop is really disgusting for residents. We should be calling out anyone who doesn’t curb their dog. Owners seem to be happy to let dogs go wherever they want. — Jj on Seen & Heard: Who’s Lived in Tribeca the Longest?

  • Some time ago USPS eliminated about 50% of the then existing street post office boxes in the nabe. This new purge should reduce the existing ones to about a quarter of the original number. Some of the boxes still extant are so stuffed with mail by the end of the day that you can't put anything more into them. • Chinatown is only a hop, skip, and jump away. What's the point of living in a city, a walkeable city, a very nice walkeable city, if one would just confine themselves in their four walls and have almost everything delivered to them. — JOR on Where to Order Chinese Food in Tribeca (2018 Edition)

  • With all the great local food in NYC, any cuisine one could ask for..... corporate/chains are taking over. I'll take the mom and pop restaurants and support the local places over a corporate chain any day. Very sad what is happening to the city. — TE on Inside the Huge New Chick-fil-A

  • I miss the Pathmark!! Used to shop there all the time. One Manhattan Square is so ugly - it was a complete political coup between Bloomberg and developer..It took years but they got what they wanted. • It's bad enough that anything over 13 ounces, which the post office considers a pound (in the real world 16 ounces is a pound) has to be brought to the post office, but a lot of people don't work near a post office.
