According to her bio online, “mompreneur” Rosie Pope was born and raised in the U.K., worked as a ballet dancer and model, and studied neuroscience at Columbia before seeing an opportunity in the maternity market. Now she helps women cope with pregnancy, both in real life and on her Bravo series, “Pregnant in Heels.” She also started MomPrep, an “education center for moms and moms-to-be.” (And she has two other shops, on the Upper East Side and in Santa Monica.) This shop is a sort of homecoming for Pope, as she used to live at Hudson and Reade, according to her husband, president and CEO Daron Pope. It’s devoted to maternity wear and diaper bags, although there’s likely to be some children’s clothing in the near future.
