Seen & Heard: New Business Updates

hubert street••• Meant to mention this last week: The construction seems to have finally left Hubert Street!

66 leonard 122412••• Work appears to be starting at the new restaurant (22-13?) coming to 66 Leonard (right); the windows got papered.

••• Drybar, meanwhile, has taken the paper off its windows in preparation for its Friday opening.

••• Vestry Wines is open in its new temporary space at 24 Hubert. Monday-Saturday 11-9 p.m., Sunday 12-6 p.m.

••• From CB1: “The FEMA Disaster Recovery Center is now open in the South Bridge Towers. Regular Hours: 8am–6pm Monday thru Saturday. Holiday hours apply (9am–noon on both the ‘Eves’ and closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day). Services: Web Registration, SBA Home Loan, Hazard Mitigation, Information, Housing Assistance, SBA Business Loan, ONA.”

109 reade••• The makeover of Dr. Bonita Franklin’s old pediatric office (left) at 109 Reade looks close to done. And it appears that it’ll still be a doctor’s office.

••• Le Restaurant—the restaurant opening below All Good Things—is on track for a January debut. Chef Ryan Tate tweeted the menu for a preview dinner on Christmas Eve.

••• Those last two fallout shelters (#4 and #5) from the special apocalyptic edition of Where in Tribeca…? were on Cortlandt Alley.

••• Can’t remember what the new-ish salon on Chambers used to be called, but it was just rebranded as Tribeca Hair Studio.

  1. Drybar was open yesterday with every seat filled. Looked like everyone wanted the slush blown out of their hair.
