Seen & Heard: Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar

Blue Ribbon Sushi courtesy Brookfield Place••• Brookfield Place says that Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar (in Hudson Eats) will open this month.

••• Washington Market Tavern owner Eric Schwimmer posted a teaser photo of the inside….

••• “Broad City” is filming around West Street and N. Moore (or at least that’s where I saw the flyer) on Wednesday and Thursday. That’s the show that got the big New Yorker treatment recently.

••• If it’s not quite humid enough for you, go sit outside at Dahlia’s—the restaurant formerly known as MaryAnn’s has installed misters.

••• Cercle Rouge‘s Bastille Day party is Friday from noon to 9 p.m. “The street will house a live band and 12 regulation-sized Petanque courts made of sand that will accommodate a total of 28 competing teams. Those interested in forming a 3-member Petanque team in Tribeca must register in person at Cercle Rouge (there is a $45 team fee). Players can bring their own Petanque balls or purchase a six-pack for $50 on the day of the tournament.”

smoke shop••• That vacant mini storefront at 99 Chambers is going to be a smoke shop—selling, according to the awning, “vaporizers, e-cigarettes, hookah, glass pipes, cigarettes, e-liquid, grinders, scales, rolling papers, cigars.”

••• From Jay at the Tribeca Greenmarket: “New on Wednesday: cherries, blueberries, peaches, raspberries, sugar snap peas, tomatoes, cucumbers and sweet and savory baked goods. New on Saturdays: cherries, currants, corn, summer squash, yellow and green beans, cranberry beans, bell peppers, fresh chickpeas and grass-fed lamb.”

••• Have you peeked inside 443 Greenwich? I think the sales office is opening soon, but there’s certainly a way to go….
