Seen & Heard: Big New Dance Studio

••• Sorry to see that Ecco has yet to reopen; the sign in the window blames it on a gas-line leak.

••• Remember when broken windows weren’t uncommon? This one was on Greenwich, in the Charlton area.

••• The TV show “Ray Donovan” is shooting in the Broadway/Murray area today. If you see Liev Schreiber, take his photo. He loves that.

••• When word broke about Sweaty Betty opening at Franklin and Church, the word was that it’d also have cryotherapy. The signage on Franklin says it’s Quick Cryo.

••• 56 Leonard’s plaza is all done, except for the sculpture.

••• When I was out doing my annual census of vacant storefronts, I noticed a Department of Buildings permit on the Worth Street side of 40 Worth—and it says that a dance studio is moving in. I believe there’s only one door for that space, so I’d guess it’s not being divided up, and the studio is taking the entire 7,024-square-foot space. Given the number of existing dance studios (for kids) in this area, I wonder whether the tenant is one that’s already here, moving on up (or down) in the world….
