Snow Day!

Photographer Asha Agnish captured the first big snow of the season: “I went out about 9 a.m. this morning. The plows had already been through and several buildings had already cleared their sections of sidewalk. But there were many snowbanks left to maneuver around—and through. I met an officer walking one of the horses from the stables of the Mounted Unit, who was having a blast in the snow. Families were out in full force, many headed over to Washington Market Park for some (gentle) sledding. I only saw one snowman, but snowballs were flying across the park and two boys were playing in the cascade of snow coming from a snowblower. For the most part, people seemed to be enjoying the first big snow of the season. People out shoveling had ready smiles, dogs were frolicking, and the sun eventually broke through to bathe the neighborhood in a warm afternoon glow.”
