With the glorious spring weather, there’s no better time to start sprucing up your home—and happy, bright hues abound at Just Scandinavian (161 Hudson, at Laight). I can’t help but smile every time I walk by the store. Just Scandinavian embraces the clean, crisp, and modern, but anyone who thinks that Scandinavian design is chilly is in for a surprise. My firm is all about fresh color and that’s exactly why the store is such a wonderful inspiration. I especially recommend the Asplund wool rugs, customizable in an array of vibrant colors (and shapes and sizes, too). One of my favorite dining chairs, the Wegner Wishbone, is also available in a variety of poppy hues. All it takes is two jolts of the same color to turn a monochromatic, dull room from drab to fab.
