Seen & Heard: Nili Lotan and TAMA Sales

••• On Wednesday, June 16, from noon to 8 p.m., Nili Lotan will have a spring sample sale at its store at 188 Duane; up to 75 percent off dresses, blouses, pants, and shorts.

••• Reminder: The TAMA Gallery closeout sale starts tomorrow (Saturday), and the discounts are bananas: lacquered mizuya (left) normally $6,500, now $900; $7,500 table for $1,500; $1,400 chair for $400. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the sale period (which is through June 19).

••• Reader Patricia Grande sent in this email she received for Mike at the Crumbs bakery on Beaver: “We have had quite a few inquiries regarding us opening our Wall Street location on the weekends. It is my pleasure to inform you that your email was the one that put it over the top for us in regards to giving  the weekends another shot. We are aiming to start opening on the weekends by mid-July.”

••• From the Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center: “As the city Parks Dept. winds down its construction of the new Washington Market Park comfort station, utility tie-ins are planned for the next three weekends. Crews will perform the work in a trench across Greenwich Street near Duane Street, with traffic maintained; the work zone will be plated over during the week. The work is expected to be complete by June 27th, and the new comfort station is slated to open in July.”

  1. Thanks for the heads-up on Tama. Went there on Saturday and found a few beautiful pieces at amazing prices! Sad to see another great store close in the neighborhood.
