NEW KID ON THE BLOCK: BIT’Z KIDS
A new children’s clothing store, Bit’z Kids, has opened on Greenwich Street. The clothes, for kids up to 8 years old, are designed in Japan, but you’d hardly know it from many of the New York–centric designs. Especially popular are the pants and jeans with elastic waistbands—handy for toilet-training, I’m told.

A family-run, Milan-based shoe company for over 50 years, Mauri has opened a store at 92 Chambers. The style is exuberant, and occasionally blingy.
