NEW KID ON THE BLOCK: STUZZICHERIA
The restaurant, a spin-off the Flatiron’s Bar Stuzzichini, opens tonight at Church and Walker. “I’ve done big restaurants and small ones,” says owner Gerard Renny (at left in the photo, with his son, Max, who’ll be overseeing Stuzzicheria). “I personally don’t like big restaurants. I’d rather have four small restaurants than one big one.”

WHERE IN TRIBECA
I’m the kind of guy dork who’s fascinated by what people write in the wet concrete of sidewalks, and yet I had never noticed this particular note before—and I’ve passed by it maybe 900 times. (It’s not at a certain café on Greenwich….)
