Seen & Heard: Something Fishy

••• FB Gallery has put up a new mural, this one on Franklin (as opposed to the one around the corner on Broadway). “It’s two artists represented by FB gallery,” says FB’s Francois Baron, “Marcelo Macedo (aka Mack Viralata and Danilo Zéh Palito.) Marcelo is in the current show at FB Gallery: ‘Fresh from Rio,’ and Danilo is from the ‘Peace, Love and Unicorns’ show.” Love it. Maybe we can get FB Gallery to decorate all the plywood around here?

••• Friends of the High Line founders Joshua David and Robert Hammond will be at 92YTribeca on Oct. 28; they have a new book about their labor of love. Having known Josh for a long time, I’m tempted to dig up a saucy photo to run with this….

••• A flasher is said to have been at Pier 25 this morning. Proceed accordingly.

••• “Tribeca Film announced today that it has acquired U.S. and Canadian distribution rights to Newlyweds, actor/writer/director Edward [Burnsie] Burns’ comedic relationship drama that had its world premiere as the Closing Night selection at the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival. A release in late 2011 is planned across multiple platforms.” It’s set in Tribeca, and Triangles Below Canal was once in contention to be the title.

••• Here’s a better look at 1 N. Moore, the new building going up at W. Broadway—though you’ll have to click to see the nice brickwork. I do wish the top floors got that detail, because they’re not set so far back that we can’t see them.
