Restaurant Closing

Just over two weeks ago, TriBeCafe announced a new menu heavy on tapas. So much for that. “We regret to inform you that TriBeCafe will be serving its last round of dinner and drinks on Friday, September 30,” said a release last night. “As of October 1, the restaurant-bar will officially be closed. A new restaurant is scheduled to open in its place later this year! While we cannot share any details on the new restaurant just yet, we believe that this change will ultimately be for the better, and we look forward to seeing your friendly, familiar faces again!”

Located at 277 Church, TriBeCafe was a half-sister to Greenwich Grill.

“Yes, it is a sudden change, given that we just launched a new menu,” emailed Yoko Izu, who handles PR, marketing and events for the restaurants. “But, we’re excited about the new restaurant that is in the works and think it will be a great addition to the little Restaurant Row that’s forming on Church Street.” Looking forward to it! Although Reboot Row might be a better name, seeing how White & Church (née Il Matto) and Stuzzicheria have both undergone recent reinventions and the Matsugen space is in a big question mark.
