LOOKING UP
I started taking photos of random buildings—some I love, some not so much—and if I don’t post this now, I’ll never stop.

NEW KID ON THE BLOCK: JEM CAFÉ
To call JEM Café a labor of love is a major understatement. Owner Davis Thompkins did the woodwork, the plumbing—everything, basically, and he has no background in that stuff. It’s adorable.

COMING UP: RE-ANIMATOR, RAUL MALO, THE ONION
What’s happening around here: Spaceships are flying overhead, casting eerie shadows. It’s the end of the world! Luckily (or not), some of us will come back to life, the better to eat a hot burrito with onion.
