Kaffe 1668 Redux
Community Board 1 sent out an update to its December agendas, and look what snuck in: “401 Greenwich Street, application for tavern wine and beer license for Kaffe 2, Inc. d/b/a Kaffe 1668” (that’s between Beach and Hubert). Will Citigroupers forsake the “happy hour” afternoon coffee special at Wichcraft? Will the new neighbors learn to like this Kaffe 1668 more than the south Tribeca neighbors do? Will a giant sheep take the place of the giant rose? So many questions!

Oh, greeeeat. Just what this tightly-wound, oops, tightly-knitted neighborhood needs – another coffee store. Why can’t we get a nail salon, wine store, another Bouley kiosk, Target or a properly-sized J. Crew store? This neighborhood is progressing into the shitter.
