Where in Tribeca…?

Know where this was shot? Say so in the comments.

So you want a hint, huh? Here’s the uncropped version of the photo….

I guess that doesn’t help much, does it? OK, then, here’s a slightly more pulled-back shot:

A stumper, I guess. Here’s the full photo—although I’m not sure that’ll make much of a difference.

OK then! Here’s the answer. It’s the entrance to 77 White, on Cortlandt Alley (between White and Franklin). I knew it’d be tough but I never thought it was unsolvable—every time I walk down Cortlandt Alley, I wonder why there’s a glassed-in, lit-up brick wall.

  1. We need a hint! This one is just too abstract.

  2. A mullion is a mullion is a mullion….although it looks like bricks with lots of mortar behind the window.

  3. The entrance to the Artisal Lofts or Christina Lehr on Reade St?

  4. @Melissa. Afraid not. Maybe this is too big of a hint—or maybe it’s simply essential to figure this out—but the brick wall is *maybe* a couple of inches behind the glass.

  5. Worth Street…maybe #7?
