The Flowering Trees of Spring

The flowering trees are starting to peak—especially on Reade between Greenwich and Hudson, at Tribeca Tower on Duane, and in City Hall Park—and since the weekend weather forecast isn’t exact joyful, we should probably appreciate them now.

Tommy Flynn sent this in:

And I took two a bunch more:

Thanks, Claudine:

And thanks, Andrea:

P.S. My camera has a hard time focusing on individual flowers for some reason….

P.P.S. Why don’t you put trees outside your building? Trees for Tribeca can help.

P.P.P.S. Send your own nice photos of this year’s flowering trees (to tribecacitizen@gmail.com) and I’ll add them.

  1. Gorgeous!! Loving all the beautiful flowers!

  2. @Erik: Did you ever think that some of us are allergic to photos of flowers? Sometimes you can be so insensitive. Ah choo.

  3. lovely! I don’t care if they make me sneeze, they are beautiful…

  4. Depending on the kind of camera/lens you were using you may have been shooting too close up. If you’re using a point and shoot try it on Macro mode if you’re using a DSLR try using a macro lens or backing up a little further and zooming in you may be too close for your focal length. Nice to see all the blossoms here since most are already gone so quickly this year!!
