In the News: Hudson Square Groper

••• The reader who goes by Hudson River reported in: “I went to [the Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center] press conference this morning, along with a few others including someone from Tribeca…. There were several people filming and NY1 has a feature—very ironic because the noise from the construction (on John Street) kept drowning out the comments.”

••• The Daily News says a well-dressed man [right] groped someone “at Varick and King Streets in Tribeca.” So I shouldn’t even include it, but I can’t resist a good groping story.

••• “The mayor’s girlfriend, Diana Taylor, will be doing double duty for Hudson River Park, joining its fundraising organization in a push to raise millions for the massive West Side greenspace project on top of being chair of the trust that runs the park itself. […] Other appointees included Australian actress Deborra-lee Jackman, the wife of actor Hugh Jackman; Scott Lawin, the managing director and COO of Moore Capital Management; Mitchell Rudin, the president and CEO of Brookfield Properties; Alexandra Tosi, executive director of recruiting firm Gilbert Tweed Associates; and hedge fund magnate Paul Ullman.” I added semi-colons for clarity…. —DNAinfo
