Seen & Heard: Free Admission to the Seaport Museum

••• What’s new and notable at Saturday’s Tribeca Greenmarket: “Cherries (not for long, been a wet month), summer squash, sugar snap peas, greenhouse heirlooms and cherry tomatoes, and bell peppers.” I bought some snow peas last weekend, even though they look unnaturally big. They were amazing once blanched.

••• Opening today: Tenoverten’s new salon in Le Parker Meridien hotel on W. 56th St.

••• Offering delivery as of tonight: Macao Trading Co. A PDF of the menu is here, and they should show up on Seamless (or you can call).

••• From a reader: “There is no longer any parking on Staple Street. There is now no standing between Jay and Harrison. It just changed from no parking from 8am to 6pm…. Good for photographers, bad for locals.” Anyone know what’s up?

••• Via CB1: “The South Street Seaport Museum is delighted to invite members of the local community to visit the Museum for free on Sundays. With your free admission, you may also go onboard the 1907 lightship Ambrose, docked at Pier 16. Please identify yourself as a member of the local community and provide your name to our ticket desk at 12 Fulton Street to receive your free ticket.” Also, Val of Josh Bach reports that a sand castle is underway in front of the Seaport Museum; it’s due to be done by Monday.
