Seen & Heard: Street Photography Contest

••• Tribeca artists Robert and Lynn Bianchi have a joint show called “The Body and Beyond” coming up at One Art Space (October 4–27). That’s one of the works above.

••• I stopped by Sole di Capri (formerly known as Capri Caffé) last night, and they said their new phone number (212-513-1113) should be working as of Friday. Until then, you can order takeout in person. P.S. I just realized that Sole di Capri translates as Capri Sun.

••• From the Downtown Alliance: “The Alliance will hold its Fall Community Planting Day event at Bowling Green Park on Saturday, October 20.”

••• From the South Street Seaport Museum: “The South Street Seaport Museum invites submissions of new works in the field of New York City street photography for a juried exhibition to open in the late fall of 2012.  The exhibition seeks to showcase the best of contemporary photography capturing life as it unfolds in New York City’s public places—its streets, parks, and plazas. […] The new street photography exhibition [is] scheduled to open in November 2012. Both professional and amateur photographers are invited to submit pictures for consideration. […] Deadline for entries is 11:59 p.m., October 8, 2012. For full guidelines and to submit images, click here.” The prize is being included in the show. Maybe I’ll submit this one….

  1. Was the food at Capri Sun the same?

  2. @Katie: Yep! The room looks the same (at least to me), and the service was as idiosyncratic as usual

  3. @Erik. Perfect… thanks
