••• A “for lease” sign went up in the northernmost retail space at 145 Hudson, confirming my suspicions that Morgik Metal was divesting itself by half.
••• Roberta Freymann/Roberta Roller Rabbit will open on Duane on Oct. 13.
••• From Cristina Dos Santos: “We have exciting news to share that we will remain at 39 N.Moore through the New Year and will not be relocating until 2013!”
••• Reader Jen reports in: “15 Broad (the historic building at Broad and Wall) is housing a Halloween City pop-up shop. Also Ricky’s is officially open on Broadway and Wall.”
••• Interesting-looking show opening Oct. 5 at Jack Hanley: Thomas Dozol’s “I Like You Better With Static Noise.” The works are “silkscreen prints, on both paper and wood. Film photography is the first step in Dozol’s process. The context is then erased and bodies either float in white space, or on top and in front of geometric shapes.”
