••• Katie asked whether I had heard about Bread Tribeca‘s new location (no) now that it’s closed, but a sign in the window does say that delivery is still available. Perhaps the food is coming from the new West Village outpost?
••• The windows at Vestry Wines have been boarded up. I emailed Cynthia Sexton to make sure the shop wasn’t closing for good. “No,” she replied, but “after the hurricane and having to leave the space for at least four months we were broken into on Thanksgiving night… Apparently that’s the only way to deter people who are really thirsty. We have not had very good luck recently. Thanks for asking we are currently looking for a different location with a temporary license.”
••• Seen on Craigslist: “American Flatbread Tribeca Hearth all natural pizza baked in a primitive wood-fired oven seeks professional servers. We are looking to build dynamic front of the house team of people who are passionate about amazing pizza, local agriculture, farmers, and artisan producers.” So I guess now we know the name…. Sounds sort of like one of the prizesin the Showcase Showdown on “The Price Is Right.”
••• New Amsterdam Market tweeted that Seaport letterpress (and all around cute boutique) Bowne & Co. has reopened.
••• Dec. 7 at 92YTribeca, Ari Hest has a record release party.
••• Ahu tweeted over this photo of 5 Beekman. Seems a bit premature to be branding the hotel/condos. Maybe it’s for events?
