When I posted Yvonne Babineaux’s photos of Tribeca in the 1980s, I promised I’d go out and take “now” shots for comparison’s sake. I figured I’d be able to determine the handful of unsolved ones just by walking around. Well, I got one. (You’ll have to trust me that the buildings in the background of the “then” photo are still behind the Zinc Building at 475 Greenwich now.)

UPDATE 1/23: Thank you, Sotheby’s International Realty broker Wayne Burkey! He identified the remaining three. Two weren’t in Tribeca, so I don’t feel like I should’ve known them. The other one, however, was right in front of our nose. (The “now” photos are less lined up than before because it’s freezing and I neglected to wear gloves while walking home from 8th Street.)
