Seen & Heard: Flowers on the Bridge

••• Pablo’s Birthday (the gallery at Washington and Canal) is opening for the first time since Sandy.

••• Tomorrow (Saturday) at Torly Kid: The Save the NY Aquarium Kids Festival, with face painting, crafts, and more. $10 suggested donation for each child; proceeds go to the aquarium.

••• An update from the LMCCC: “Replacement of an underground vault is planned for the sidewalk outside 73 Worth Street, and requires a mobile-crane lift. To safely perform the operation, Worth Street will be closed between Broadway and Church Street on Saturday, February 2nd and Sunday, February 3rd from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. The vault work is part of a larger project that will continue through late spring 2013.” I thought that project was eternal.

••• L. sent over these photos: “Was wondering if any of your readers know who was responsible this morning for this glorious floral display on the Battery Park Tunnel pedestrian overpass at Washington St.” No clue! Anyone know? Looks like a marriage proposal to me.
