••• No timeline yet for Asphalt Green, said BPCA rep Matthew Monahan at last night’s meeting of Community Board 1’s Battery Park City Committee.
••• At a recent meeting about the Chambers Street reconstruction—for local residents and business owners, with the DDC, LMCC, Judlau (contractor), Con Edison, and DOT—it was announced that the Greenwich-to-W. Broadway segment now won’t be finished until Thanksgiving. Or maybe we should think of it as “at least Thanksgiving,” since it’s been pushed back before, and probably will yet again.
••• The Dead Rabbit tweeted that “As soon as Con Edison turns on our gas, so we can have heat and hot water for our guests, we will be open.
••• I always get a kick out of the anti-Valentine’s Day cookies at Tribeca Treats—although “Child, please” could be read as a demand…. So could “Love bites,” I suppose….
••• NYCDowntownDiva tweeted that Harry’s Italian on Gold will reopen tomorrow.
••• Nina commented about the pigeon snatcher: “He is probably netting the pigeons for sale to gun clubs where they shoot live pigeons at close range in Pennsylvania. It is against the law but never enforced. If you see this again, take a photo of the license plate and publish it.” So horrible.
••• Citibank’s signs are going up. A worker confirmed there would be two on the W. Broadway façade.
